  • Hey guys! How do you start a post when you haven't posted for 2 1/2 months? Well I guess I'll just tell you what's goin on in my life at the moment. This semester is going really well and really fast! Classes are hard and time intensive, but generally interesting. Tiffany Duncan and I are coaching a 5th grade girls YMCA basketball team. It's fun and challenging 'cause most of the girls haven't really played basketball before. They're a little below average, we're only 1/5 or 6, but it's still really fun. The more we get to know them, the more fun it becomes.

I got an internship at New Covenant Community Church as a wedding coordinator! I'm really excited cause this is just a taste of what I want to do after I graduate. Last week I shadowed the head coordinator for a wedding and had a blast. ( I wanna give a shoutout to Karen & Quinn!) Anyway, I should be getting my own weddings this summer to coordinate by myself!

Spring break is in 3 weeks and I can hardly wait! I feel slightly burned out, but know the time will go by fast. I really wanted to do something fun for spring break, like travel somewhere, but unfortunatly I have no money... so I'm going home. Which is totally fine, 'cause I haven't been home since Christmas and if I don't go home during spring break, I don't know when I'll get a chance next. But I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and seeing different people.

My roommates and I are in the process of looking for apts. for next year...kinda scary and kinda exciting!

Well I think I've covered all the bases...but's it kind of hard to remember whats all happened since Dec. Anyways I hope y'all are doing well, much love.

Fall Break is just a day away! I'm really tired of school, and the constant studying I do. I just want to graduate.

Two days ago the fire alarm in our building went off. So everybody had to evacuate the building. Apparantly it was just an alarm. Then that night at about 10:30pm the fire alarms went off again. My roommate and I were like what the heck is going on, this is bananas! So we evacuate the building a second time. But this time, it was no alarm. It had been raining all day, and was pouring when we had to leave. So, all of the courtyard residents are outside in the pouring rain and there's like 5 fire trucks outside. I'm thinkin this must be serious. Anyway to make a sorta long story short, it ends up that there was no fire at all. These guys (who happened to be on my floor) were throwing around a nerf ball, and it hit one of the sprinklers and broke it. So out comes like 50 million gallons of water! Seriously, their whole apt. was filled with about 2 inches of water. To top it off, the apts below them got soaked too. I think they have to either get everything like carpets and walls really dry or they have to tear everything down and replace it. Yep, that pretty much stinks! Word is that these guys will have to pay for damages, which amounts to about $25,000, but that could just be all rumors. Anyway what an exciting night. Oh, and now these guys are my new neighbors...hmmm....should i be nervous?:)

    Fall break......ahh I can't wait!!

I'm gonna do this Ben Reis style. (It must be sooo cool to have your very own style!)

This week has been crazy! I got to eat at Chipotle on Monday w/my bible study leader. Oh,man i love that place! I have had 4 quizes and 1 test, that=craziness. I found out my cousin is engaged, whoo-hoo, i love weddings! And the best part is I got a roommate. It's kinda a long, strange story, but the point is things are going good!

I love Fridays! This week is homecoming and the atmosphere on campus is fun. Most of the floats that the frats made look pretty good. I fell asleep during the Husker game last week (the game we won in double overtime). I couldn't believe i did that, but i was tired. oh well.

I'm going camping this weekend with my family, its gonna be cold!

Lately there has been a big controversy with evolution vs. Intelligent Design. I get really frustrated wihen people speak out of ignorance! Especially people who write the articles in the DN; i think if your gonna write an article on the topic, at least don't be biased and present the facts. But is it really possible to not be biased?

well classes have started and for the most part I like 'em, except for 2 classes. Oceanography, which i thought we were supposed to learn about oceans and stuff, but so far all we have talked about is isotopes and the orgins of the earth. Hey- did you know that earth and the solar system and I guess the whole universe as we know it was created by a big ginormous bang!! Ok, I'm pretty sure most of you know I'm JOKING, but I thought I should state it just in case! So, yeah the class is highly evolutionary. And then Ancient Greece is the other one, which I thought could be interesting. Like maybe I would learn about mythology and what not, but no, its strictly the history of ancient greece. YAWN!! Otherwise I really like the rest of 'em. Especially the History of Rock 'N' Roll. It is a HUGE class, like approx 400 or 500 people, but still pretty cool!

I've met some pretty cool people the last couple of weeks. Mostly through going to Crusade and Navs. Both of those groups are such outstanding ministries and have such cool people in them, that it's gonna be hard to pick one. But maybe I won't have to?!

Havinge my own apt is really cool! I went grocery shopping today, and it was sooo much fun! I realize my feelings might change once I have a family or whatever, but for right now, buying groceries just for myself is a blast!

I really like living in Lincoln. It's not that big once you get used to it.

I have to go read now. The odessy of Homer, the Illiads, and some other stuff, so I better go put on a pot of coffee:)

oh, and i really, really like this cd! it's really good.
